Small Works Release
May 5th - Studio Online Shop Opens 10 new works, all oil on panel 6x6" - offered as a part of the Artist Support Pledge ARTIST SUPPORT PLEDGE is a generous culture and dynamic economy in support of artists and makers. The concept is a simple one, artists from around the world share their work to sell for NO MORE than $200 each (not including shipping.) Anyone can then buy the work. Every time the artist reaches $1000 of sales the artist pledges to buy another artist/s work for $200. I am making a pledge and will be posting some of my small works using #artistsupportpledge on instagram and sharing the work in my online studio shop. Thank you for your support. See you on May 5th! Thanks to those who came to Open Studios this Spring! Our next event will be in the Fall.
Today Arts to Hearts Project joined me on instagram live for a special virtual studio visit. Artist, designer, entrepreneur and founder of Arts to Hearts Project, Charuka Arora hosted a casual interview with me all the way from India. I loved our conversation surrounding her mission with Arts to Hearts, my studio practice and the issues affecting women in the arts. She was a brilliant and charming host, especially with her "rapid fire" round of final questions.
Follow @artstoheartsproject and click on their IGTV interview tab to watch the replay. Here's the direct link. In this virtual studio visit you will have a chance to see some of my new paintings before they head off to Voss Gallery for my solo exhibition, opening September 25th, 2021. Enjoy! "The Jealous Curator featured my work alongside of the recent Yayoi Kusama news in her "art delivery" ongoing series (yay!). I love hearing about contemporary artists from Danielle Krysa (The Jealous Curator) and have her books in my studio to read on painting breaks. Her podcast is fabulous to listen to while creating and I highly recommend it. I'm so grateful to have my work mentioned by this international art star.
I'm pleased to announce Glimmers, my solo exhibition with Voss Gallery. Save the date for the opening reception October 9th, 6-9pm in San Francisco. I invite you to preview and read more about the work here.
