For the Introverted Creative: Writing About Your Work
Do you have difficulty succinctly communicating your larger concepts about your creative work in writing? Have artist statements, social media captions, or even titles for your work always felt like a drag to you? Are you someone who wishes you could hide behind your untitled painting and “let your work do the talking?”
Sharing the conceptual underpinnings of your creative work with the world can be scary, particularly if you are introverted! This 90-minute workshop, led by San Francisco-based artist Ingrid V. Wells, will aid in your leaning into the fun of writing about your work with confidence.
Knowing how to write about your work clearly is a fantastic tool to have in your toolbox for the growth of your art career. This small-group workshop will prepare you to communicate with the press, present yourself online, connect with your dream audience, write your artist statements, catalogs and so much more! This workshop is full of easy practices and tips to implement for any creative.
